It looks like a dessert, tastes like a dessert, but is actually an awesome breakfast option! This is oats—baked oats to be exact.
If you haven't heard of them or tried them yourself yet, it's time to. Foodies are in love with this incredible ingredient combination, so much so that it's taking over TikTok and blowing everyone's mind. One bite in and you'll totally understand why people are obsessed with baked oats.
Our friend, over at The Jessica Eats whipped up this totally drool worthy recipe using clean food ingredients from our shop. Like she explained in her post, they're low carb, low sugar (she used a zero calorie monk fruit sweetener), and these baked oats are banana free and super easy to make!
Plus, they're completely customizable. Jessica said, "just make the base, and add any ingredients you want to make it your own!...This version keeps calories, sugars and carbs lower while still being indulgent!"
Ready?
Basic Baked Oats:
1/2 Cup Rolled Oats or Quick Oats
2 Eggs
1/4 Cup Almond Milk
1 Tablespoon Lakanto Monkfruit Baking Sweetener
Pinch of Salt
1/4 Cup Cocoa Powder
Toppings & Filling:
Barney Bare Smooth Almond Butter
Cacao Nibs
Coconut
Directions:
Preheat your oven to 350° and lightly grease your ramekin, muffin tin, or small loaf pan with avocado cooking spray.
In a blender, combine all the ingredients and blend until smooth.
Pour your mixture into your muffin tin/ramekin until mostly filled. Scoop around one tablespoon almond butter into the center, then continue pouring the oat mixture in until covered.
Bake for 20-25 minutes. When the sides start to pull away from the pan, you're done. Top with a drizzle of more almond butter and a sprinkling of cacao nibs.
Let cool for about 10 minutes before eating. Enjoy!
